Highly Absorbable
Mineral Formula
Support Minerals was formulated by Dr.
Timmins to deliver minerals to their
target cells by making use of co-factors
required in the absorption and assimilation
process. The betaine hydrochloric acid
and glutamic acid in the formula help
with acidification and promote absorption
by assisting in the transfer across the
cell membrane. The co-factors folic acid,
biotin, and vitamins A and D3 support
the uptake of the essential minerals.
Folic acid and biotin maintain healthy
cell function and assist in the production
of enzymes, while contributing to stable
nighttime blood sugar. When blood sugar
is stable during sleep the body’s
ability to repair is enhanced and minerals
can more readily fulfill their purposes.
Vitamins A and D3 are included in Support
Minerals for their respective roles in
bone growth and calcium absorption.
Krebs Cycle Chelation for Bioavailability
The macro and trace minerals in the formula
are carefully balanced to prevent conflicts
in assimilation. Towards this goal the
product also uses Krebs cycle intermediates.
The Krebs cycle intermediates (see diagram
below) in Support Minerals are a unique
chain of five organic acids: citrate,
fumarate, malate, succinate, and glutarate.
Minerals chelated to these intermediates
are readily absorbed and utilized by the
body. Krebs cycle intermediates can bind
two or three mineral molecules for every
one of their own molecules and are easily
ionized. This enhances the bioavailability
of the minerals to which they are chelated
by increasing the amount of ionized minerals
in the intestinal tract.

Three Tablets of Support Minerals Contain:
- Vitamin A - 100 IU
- Vitamin A is involved in the formation
and maintenance of healthy skin, hair,
and mucous membranes. Vitamin A helps
us to see in dim light and is necessary
for proper bone growth, tooth development,

- The research available in the past
few years on the clinical significance
of vitamin D is substantial. The role
of vitamin D in preventing cancers,
osteoporosis, and general ill health
is clearly established. Importantly,
Support Minerals includes 50 IUs of
vitamin D3 to assist in the absorption
of calcium - increasing calcium absorption
by as much as 80 percent. A dietary
deficiency of vitamin D inhibits the
production of the protein that binds
calcium in the intestines, so that
calcium cannot be absorbed, even if

- Folic Acid - 200 mcg
- Folic acid is involved in important
metabolic processes. It is essential
for the normal growth and maintenance
of all cells because it acts as
a coenzyme for healthy DNA and RNA
synthesis. It is vital for normal
cell division and protein synthesis
(both key to efficient bone turnover)
and is involved in the production
of neurotransmitters such as serotonin,
which regulate mood, sleep and appetite.
The folic acid in Support Minerals
supports assimilation of the formula's

- Biotin - 300 mcg
- When glucose goes intracellular,
it must be phosphorylated in order
to be burned, and biotin is necessary
for phosphorylation. Biotin is extremely
important for protection from glycemic
dysregulation. It not only helps with
blood sugar control as well as the
synthesis and uptake of minerals,
but also supports liver detoxification
pathways - enabling the detoxification
of sulfates in the liver, amino acid

- Calcium (from Calcium Krebs*)
- 400 mg
- Calcium is necessary for the development
and health of bone, maintaining
a regular heartbeat, and the transmission
of nerve impulses. It helps with
lowering cholesterol, muscular growth,
providing energy, breaking down
fats, maintaining proper cell membrane
permeability, and skin health. The
calcium in Support Minerals is balanced
with the formula's magnesium at
a 2:1 ratio and bound to Krebs cycle
intermediates. Over 95% of the Krebs
cycle intermediates are used to
produce cellular energy with the
remainder being excreted in the
urine. The intermediates are easily
ionized and have been shown to increase

- Iodine (from Potassium Iodine)
- 100 mcg
- Iodine is an essential element
that enables the thyroid gland to
produce thyroid hormones. Studies
have demonstrated that the major
consequence of even moderate iodine
deficiency is an extraordinarily
high occurrence of hyperthyroidism
in the elderly, especially women.
Severe iodine deficiency can impede

- Magnesium assists the absorption
of calcium and potassium. The metabolism
of carbohydrates and fats to produce
energy requires numerous magnesium-dependent
chemical reactions. Magnesium is
required by the adenosine triphosphate
(ATP) synthesizing protein in mitochondria.
Magnesium is required for the active
transport of ions like potassium
and calcium across cell membranes.
Through its role in ion transport
systems, magnesium affects the conduction
of nerve impulses, muscle contractions,
and normal heart rhythm. Magnesium
is involved in building bones, manufacturing
proteins, releasing energy from

- Selenium helps to build white
blood cells, enhancing the body's

an anti-inflammatory agent in the
treatments of arthritis and other
autoimmune diseases. Selenium inhibits
prostaglandins, which cause inflammatory

- Copper helps the body to utilize
iron. It is also important for nerve

enzymes need copper to function
properly. Copper is an essential

collagen, and melanin. Copper is
also an essential component of the
dark pigment, melanin, which colors

- Manganese is an essential trace
mineral that is required in small
amounts to manufacture proteins

the enzymes responsible for DNA
and RNA production. It also aids
in the formation of connective tissue,

Polynicotinate) - 100 mcg
- Chromium plays a role in the metabolism
of glucose, and is necessary for
energy production. Since this mineral
assists in the production of insulin,
it helps to stabilize blood sugar
levels and can be beneficial both
for people with hypoglycemia and
diabetes. It is also crucial to
the synthesis of cholesterol, fats,
and proteins. Chromium Polynicotinate
is more effective than any other
type of chromium, as it binds the
elemental chromium to niacin. This
provides a biologically active form
of chromium, which is more absorbable
in the body. Chromium polynicotinate
consists of pure niacin-bound chromium,
identified by researchers as the
active component of true GTF (Glucose
Tolerance Factor). GTF is responsible

- Molybdenum (from Molybdenum

- Molybdenum is an essential trace
mineral needed for the proper function
of certain enzyme-dependent processes,
including the metabolism of iron.
When the iron stored in the liver
is freed by the molybdenum-dependent
enzymes, it then can carry oxygen
to body cells and tissue. Molybdenum
works with the enzyme systems to
help eliminate toxic nitrogen waste
by turning it into uric acid. Molybdenum

- Boron is essential for healthy
bone and joint function, due to
its effects on the balance and absorption
of calcium, magnesium and phosphorus.

of steroid hormones and may also
play a role in converting vitamin
D to its more active form, thus
increasing calcium uptake and deposition

- Betaine works in tandem with glutamic
acid to increase the concentration
of acids in the stomach, thus enabling
the ideal pH for absorption of Support
Minerals' other components. Betaine
plays an important role in the health
of the cardiovascular system. Studies
suggest that betaine helps to reduce
potentially toxic levels of homocysteine,
a naturally occurring amino acid
that can harm blood vessels, contributing
to the development of heart disease.

- Glutamic Acid (from 50 mg
of Glutamic Acid HCl) - 40 mg
- Glutamic acid is a major excitatory
neurotransmitter in the brain and
spinal cord and is a precursor to
GABA. It metabolizes sugar and fats
and aids in the transportation of
potassium across the blood-brain
barrier. The brain uses glutamic
acid as fuel. Like betaine, glutamic
acid represents a supplemental form
of gastric acid. It works in tandem
with Betaine to increase the concentration
of acids in the stomach, thus enabling
the ideal pH for absorption of minerals.
